This is a rollicking comedy about the attempts of some working class amateurs to overcome their inhibitions and left feet in a low-rent dance studio in North London.
Mavis, a former professional chorus girl tries her hardest to teach the bumbling amateurs some terpsichorean skills for an upcoming recital.
But before the dancing begins Mavis must mediate the minor dramas that erupt among this motley but loveable crew on their way to triumph at their recital.

Shouting out to potential cast members for a summer ‘19 production of Richard Harris’ classic comedy play ~ Stepping Out. 9 ladies and 1 lucky chap are required for this fabulously heart warming show, ideally with a little tap experience (or musicality and a willingness to learn at least!) for a run at Teignmouth Pavilions 16-20 July. The ICE FACTORY THEATRE is at the rear of 10 Somerset Place, Teignmouth (between Majestic Travel and the Methodist Church) and is the home of the Teignmouth Players Amateur Dramatic Society a registered charity.
It has a great Air conditioned 50 seat Studio Theatre designed to give the best intimate style theatre and comfort .
