Written by William Shakespeare and directed by Nicole Davall
Nicole has a unique way of presenting her shows which became apparent with Romeo and Juliet earlier in 2019, being a sell-out for nearly every performance and this looks like being similar.

The compilers of Shakespeare’s First Folio considered The Tempest to be Shakespeare’s greatest masterpiece. Although it is thought to be Shakespeare’s final solo work, it appears first. It is also the only play in which Shakespeare observed the classical artistic conceptions of the unity of time and place. Whereas his other plays tend to span large periods of time and jump from place to place, the action of The Tempest occurs in real time over the course of a single afternoon in the confines of an isolated island. The Ice Factory’s studio theatre is the perfect venue for capturing this intensely focused atmosphere. But while the action of the play is tightly constricted, it is not dissimilar to Hamlet’s infinity ‘bounded in a nutshell’, as the themes of the play are nothing if not expansive.
