Objective Bodies – The Sanctuary is probably something you have never seen before, a performance based on attitudes to representation and self-worth within a life-modelling scenario as a result of dialogue with models from differing ethnic cultures, socio-economic groups, ages and genders. The performance lasts an hour and can accommodate a Q & A session afterwards.
In a way this performance is an antidote to performances where nudity and nakedness are planned, choreographed, titillated and forewarned about. This performance is about how we see ourselves, not in a conventional image-based scenario but in an art based, no-where to hide scenario that brings representation and self-worth to the forefront of how we see ourselves when there is nowhere to hide.
